There are so many things I enjoy about being outdoors. I always feel less stressed, more energetic, healthier and I love the fresh air and sense of freedom the outdoors provides.
What is your favourite activity in Ballyhass and why?
As a person who has always loved sport, both observing and participating, I have always been involved in football, handball and swimming. However, when I joined Ballyhass I was introduced to kayaking and wakeboarding. I loved both and quickly became passionate about wakeboarding. It is difficult to put into words the exhilarating, thrilling feeling you get as you speed along the water. Its many levels provide a constant challenge as you master one and move to another and it is a fantastic social activity which I can enjoy with friends.
What are your other interests and hobbies?
I love all types of sports and I am a huge Manchester United supporter. I also enjoy reading (especially the Harry Potter books) and I love going for long walks with my dog, a King Charles called Buddy.
What is your biggest achievement?
Getting higher points than my brother in the Leaving Cert!
What three words would you use to describe yourself?
Loyal, Compassionate, Conscientious
Name one thing we wouldn't know about you or have you a hidden talent?
Unfortunately, no hidden talent ( or at least if I have it is so well hidden that even I can't find it!!). However, I am probably the world's most organised person and love structure and planning.
What is your personal motto?
"If you can dream it, you can do it"
What does being a member of Team Ballyhass mean to you?
I feel very fortunate to be a member of Team Ballyhass. I know it is a cliché but we are really like one big family. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful and I love going to work each day and meeting people of all ages from all over the country who visit Ballyhass. I have made some great friends through Ballyhass and have learnt many skills which have enhanced my life.
