The Fittest Adventure Challenge Oct 7th

This awesome event is coming to Ballyhass on October 7th. If you were ever watching Irelands fittest family and thought 'I can do that" well now is your chance tio put your money where your mouth is. Teams of three (minimum 1 female) will be put through a day of challenges including the Jacobs Ladder, Crate stacking and Kayaking amongst a host of other challenges. If that was enough to get you out the winners are determined by the Hang Tough!! See how long you can last before plunging into the depths of Ballyhass. Think you can win it?? Well you might just bring home €1000 for your team!!! This day is going to be amazing. Get a team together and enter at bring down your friends and family to cheer you on and enjoy a great day out at Ballyhass Mallow. 


What is it?

The Fittest is a 3 person team-oriented adventure challenge designed to test physical fitness, good strategy, mental strength and above all teamwork.

Where and when?

The Fittest 2018 takes place on the 7th of October 2018 at the Ballyhass Adventure Centre in Mallow Co. Cork.

Who can take part?

Anyone who feels that they are tough enough and want to become part of the family of the world’s best obstacle course. The Fittest is for ages 14 and over. In order for anyone under 18 to take part they must be accompanied by somebody who is 18 or older.

Every team must include at least one female participant.

How much will it cost?

€180 per Team of 3.

What is included with my paid participant registration?

All participants get entry to The Fittest, access to The Fittest Village and access to run the course. Each participant will also receive a very cool limited edition training shirt.

What to wear/bring?

Each participant must have a valid photo ID in order to take part. Your Eventbrite ticket in either digital or printed form and your signed waiver. The name on the ticket must match the person’s ID to gain entry. Runners, light clothes, rain gear or sun cream if needed, and also your signed waiver- and we advise you to ensure no loose or expensive jewellery is worn throughout the event. A change of clothes and towel is advised as you will get wet and muddy. A bag drop (€5), changing facilities and showers will be provided on site.

Are there water stations?

Yes, The Fittest will have a number of water stations along the course. At selected stations, we will also provide bananas and energy snacks to help participants refuel for the remainder of the course.

When and where do I collect my event packet?

We do not mail any registration packets. Registration will take place in Ballyhass on the day of the event, and all materials, including your bib number, will be provided onsite. You cannot pick up your bib early. You must wait until event day. No exceptions.

This will be released closer to the event time through this website, on Facebook and by email.


Spectator tickets are free. Spectators will have a special route which will allow them to see as much of the course as is possible. Spectators are encouraged to bring their cameras in order to record the day.

What if the weather is bad?

The Fittest is an all weather event. In the case of extreme weather conditions updates will be given through Facebook, email and the website about any possible changes.

Car Parking?

There is ample car parking space at the event.


How do I register for The Fittest?

You can register online at Just follow the instructions on the registration page. Once finished, you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite confirming your event registration.

What is the deadline for registration?

The numbers in The Fittest will be limited this year to ensure that all participants have a good experience and that queues for obstacles are minimised. When we get near the Sell Out number, this will be flagged on our Facebook page, Twitter and on our website.

How To View Your Registration?

Log in to your Eventbrite account. Enter the email address you used to register for the race. Enter your password. – If you’ve forgotten your password, click “Forgot Password?”- An email will be sent to your email address to reset your password. Under the “Current Orders” section, you will see all tickets you’ve purchased. Click the blue box that denotes your ticket/registration. Click the “Print Ticket” option to print a copy of your ticket for event day. All registrations will require a printed ticket.
