Kayak Adventure Race Training
Two Scheduled dates ahead of Quest Kenmare Feb 23rd & March1st
We have been asked repeatedly for kayak training ahead of our local adventure races. With Quest Kenmare only just over a month away and early in the season now is the time to get thinking about the kayak leg of the race. We have two dates scheduled where you can come down for specific kayak race training. We will go through all the basics and paddle strokes you will need firstly to feel safe and secure in the kayak no matter who you end up with on race day. Once your confidence is built up we will hone in on those skills and practice with smaller distances to get you in the mood for setting your personal best, or at the very least give you an idea of how long your kayak section of the race will take you.
It doesn't matter if you have never set foot in a kayak or have zero other paddling skills this will be full supervised and coached by our fully qualified Water Skills Academy and Irish Canoe Union instructors.
- February 23rd & March 1st
- 2-hour session per date.
- 11am to 1pm on the water.
- Please arrive at 10.30am to give time to get geared up.
- All wetsuits, boats, paddles, helmets and lifejackets will be provided
- €25 per session or €40 for both sessions per person.
We have double kayaks and singles to prepare you for all options that might come up on race day. Knowing how to kayak in a double is a valuable experience before race day.
To book please call the office on 022 27773 and we will book you in, take your details and payment over the phone.
