Zero Waste by 2026
At Ballyhass, we are committed to becoming a zero waste company by 2026. To achieve this goal, we are implementing a number of initiatives to reduce the total amount of waste we generate and increase our recycling and composting efforts.
One key element of our plan is to implement circular waste systems for all core activities by 2026. This includes finding ways to reuse or repurpose materials that would otherwise be discarded, and working with suppliers and partners to adopt circular practices throughout our supply chain.
In addition, we are aiming to reduce the total amount of waste we generate by 50% over the next five years, with a target of reducing waste by 10% each year. This will involve implementing waste reduction programs and finding ways to reduce our consumption of single-use materials.
We are also working to increase our recycling and composting efforts, including introducing a compostable coffee stream in our cafe and increasing our recycling rates by 50%. We are also aiming to reduce the volume of waste we generate by 30% over the next three years, through efforts such as reducing packaging and finding more efficient ways to handle waste.
Overall, our goal is to create a circular waste system that minimizes our impact on the environment and helps us achieve zero waste by 2026.
