Why Ballyhass Padel
Ballyhass has always believed that the right first experience can change someone’s relationship with the outdoors.
It might begin with standing on a wakeboard, reaching the top of a climbing route, getting onto open water or joining a sauna session alone and leaving having shared an hour with people you had never met.
Padel brings those lessons together. It is active, social and easy to begin, while still offering years of movement, positioning, teamwork and competitive progression.
That is why we are building Ballyhass Padel: not simply to add courts, but to create another lasting way for people to get active outdoors.
Why this sport fits Ballyhass
The best outdoor experiences give you something on day one and still leave another level waiting. Padel is quick to enjoy, but the further you go, the more there is to learn.
The rally, the walls, the teamwork and the quick exchanges make activity feel instinctive, social and enjoyable rather than like a conventional workout.
Better movement, smarter positioning, stronger partnerships and more confident match play.
The game gives people a natural reason to meet, compete and keep showing up.
Court time becomes social play, coaching, leagues, events and a regular part of the week.
The first experience matters
Ballyhass is an instructor-led outdoor business. Welcoming people, explaining clearly and helping someone feel capable is central to how we deliver experiences.
We want to bring that same approach to padel, with clear routes for beginners, individuals and experienced players alike.
Equipment, scoring, court use and the basics explained clearly.
A hosted start that gets the game moving quickly.
Social play, coaching, player matching or regular court time.
Regular games, leagues, events and a community worth returning to.
Community without awkwardness
Our sauna community has shown us the value of an experience people can attend individually without feeling out of place.
Ballyhass Padel will make it easier to find a game, meet players at a similar level and become part of the club without needing an existing group before you begin.
A properly hosted introduction to the sport, the court and the basic patterns that make padel enjoyable from the beginning.
Open sessions and player matching designed to help individuals find regular games without the usual friction.
Clear pathways for players who want to improve technique, movement, strategy and confidence.
Competitive formats, social competitions and memorable events that give the club a life beyond individual court bookings.
The courts are the starting point. The experience around them is what will make Ballyhass Padel distinctive.
Four high-specification GreenSet outdoor courts with upgraded turf and lighting, designed to support first-time players, regular weekly games and competitive progression.
A new studio for more than 30 people, supporting fitness, yoga, mobility and movement classes throughout the year.
Padel will connect naturally with sauna, recovery and the wider wellness offering, giving players more reasons to stay after the final point.
The ambition is to build a venue where arrival, play, conversation, progression and recovery all belong to the same experience.
Designed into Ballyhass
The venue is being designed into the Ballyhass landscape through a substantial groundworks and environmental project intended to make Padel a focal point within the existing site.
Protecting established trees, adding native planting and improving the setting around the development form part of the same long-term commitment Ballyhass brings to its work as a B Corp.
More than a standalone club
Most padel operators must build an ecosystem around their courts. Ballyhass already has one. That gives the club more ways to bring people in, more reasons to stay and more routes to return.
Padel can anchor corporate, club and private group experiences, supported by activities, wellness and time together across the site.
Padel can become part of inclusive summer camps, residential programmes and structured group experiences for young people.
Sauna, movement, mobility and yoga can support both the physical and social sides of a more complete outdoor club experience.
Competitions, hosted events, overnight visits and packaged activity experiences can make Ballyhass Padel more than court hire alone.
