Padel is usually played two against two on an enclosed court, with glass walls that become part of the rallies. The serve is underarm, the court is smaller than a tennis court, and there’s room for everyone from complete beginners to regular players.

Bring the essentials

Wear comfortable sportswear and trainers suitable for playing sport. Bring water and your own racket and balls if you have them. Our courts are outdoors, so dress for the weather.

03 · Ready to play

Need equipment?

Racket hire is €5 per racket. A tube of three balls is available to buy for €10. You don’t need to own equipment to give padel a go.

Our story · Inspiring an Outdoor Generation

A new way into the outdoors.

From wakeboarding to sauna sessions, Ballyhass has always been about getting people outside, moving and spending time together.

Padel brings another way to do that — a game after work, an hour with friends or something that becomes part of your week. Behind the courts is the same purpose that has always guided us: inspiring an outdoor generation.

Can I book now?

Yes. Public court bookings are open. Use the Playtomic calendar on this page to check availability, view prices and book.

Do I need experience?

No. Beginners are welcome to book a court. Dedicated beginner socials and training courses are coming soon; a standard court booking is court hire rather than a coached session.

Do I need four players?

Padel is usually played in doubles, with four players. For a private court booking, arrange your group. If you’re looking for other players, join our WhatsApp community.

Can I hire a racket or buy balls?

Yes. Racket hire is €5 per racket, and a tube of three balls is €10. You can also bring your own.

Are the courts indoors or outdoors?

All four courts are outdoors. Wear suitable sportswear and trainers, bring water and dress for the weather.

How much does a court cost?

Current prices and available session lengths are shown in Playtomic when you select your date and time.

Are beginner socials, training and tournaments available?

They’re coming soon. We’ll share dates and booking details when each programme is ready.

Is sauna access included?

Sauna sessions are booked separately. Check availability before planning a sauna visit alongside your game.
