Where is the Lee valley Region?
The Lee Valley extends from the Derrynasaggart Mountains on the Cork/Kerry border to Cork Harbour. It is comprised of two main the rivers. The area extends over 1,000sq. miles (1,600sq. Km) and is known for its peace and tranquility and the friendliness of the people.
Lee Valley provides the ideal base from which to explore the beautiful south of Ireland, from the energetic streets of Cork city (3rd Top City in the World to visit in 2010, according to Lonely Planet), to the rugged beauty of West Cork, the peaceful tranquility of North Cork and the historic atmosphere of East Cork.
Where are we?
Geographically, the area that has become known as the Lee Valley comprises the catchment area of the River Lee, incorporating within its borders the distinct valleys of its major tributaries including the Sullane, Foherish, Laney and others.Further downstream, the river forms the Carrigadrohid and Inniscarra reservoirs set in rich rolling countryside.
The Lee Reservoirs, that include Inniscarra and Carrigadrohid lakes, cover 14km2 of open water. Thats where you can catch us!!
