Coachford Aquapark Big Course Energy

If Mallow is the bold new 2026 story, Coachford is the bigger connected assault-course feel. Built as a full Aquaglide Aquapark, this course delivers a more continuous, more obstacle-heavy and more wipeout-style experience across the water.

This is the park to choose if you want more of a race-it, chase-it, keep-moving kind of session. With more connected features over a bigger feeling layout, Coachford leans into the full floating obstacle-course buzz — the kind of setup that feels like a proper on-water challenge from start to finish.

Why Coachford feels different

Coachford is all about flow. Rather than leaning into a newer vertical story, this park wins on connection, continuity and the feel of a proper floating obstacle route — the kind of layout that makes you want to keep moving, racing and trying again.

More Connected Course Feel

The Aquaglide setup creates a stronger sense of one continuous course, making the whole session feel more like a floating assault route than a series of isolated features.

More Obstacles, More Movement

Coachford leans into a fuller obstacle-course feel with more movement, more transitions and more reasons to keep pushing around the layout.

Perfect for Competitive Groups

This is a brilliant park for guests who want to race friends, beat each other around the course and turn the session into a proper challenge.

Big Thrills, Bigger Day Potential

Coachford is not just a strong Aquapark session — it is also one of the best places at Ballyhass to upsell into a bigger multi-activity adventure day.

See the Coachford course in action

Coachford is built for momentum — the kind of Aquapark that makes you want to keep moving, keep racing and go one more lap. If you want the bigger connected wipeout-course feel, this is the one to watch first.

  • Full connected Aquaglide course feel
  • Perfect for competitive friends, groups and active families
  • Big upsell opportunity into the All Access Pass

Coachford Aquapark FAQs

A few of the most common questions before booking. If you are planning for families, groups or first-timers, this should help you get the basics covered before you arrive.

How long is a Coachford Aquapark session?

Coachford Aquapark sessions are typically 50–55 minutes on the water, plus a safety brief before you begin. You should allow around 2 hours on site overall for parking, check-in, changing and the full Aquapark experience.

What is included in the booking?

Your session includes your time on the Aquapark, a wetsuit, a buoyancy aid and a pre-session safety briefing. Ballyhass staff supervise throughout the session.

Do I need to be able to swim?

You should be comfortable in the water. You will need to swim out to the course to begin, and you should expect to end up in the water throughout the session. Buoyancy aids are mandatory at all times.

Is Coachford suitable for younger children?

Yes, but supervision rules apply. Ages 6–11 must be accompanied by an adult supervisor who takes responsibility for them during the session. If you are booking for younger guests, make sure you review the supervision and safety requirements before arrival.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes. All participants must have a waiver signed. Waivers are best completed online in advance of arrival to avoid delays and reduce the risk of losing time on your session due to queues on site.

What happens if the weather is poor?

Coachford Aquapark is an outdoor water activity, so a bit of weather comes with the territory. Sessions generally continue in typical Irish conditions, but Ballyhass will always make the call based on safety and operational requirements if severe weather affects activity.

What is the difference between Coachford and Mallow?

Coachford is the stronger choice if you want a more connected, obstacle-heavy and wipeout-course feel. Mallow is home to the newer 2026 Wibit Peakz layout and has a more elevated, more vertical Aquapark feel. Both are worth doing if you want to experience both sides of Ballyhass Aquapark.

Is Coachford Aquapark very physical?

Yes — it is a physical and active outdoor session. The connected course layout keeps you moving, climbing, balancing, slipping, swimming and pulling yourself back onto inflatable features throughout the session. If you have current or previous injuries, especially to shoulders, knees, ankles, back or neck, it may not be the right activity for you.

Can I book as a group?

Yes — Coachford works really well for groups, parties, team days and bigger active outings. The connected course layout gives it a naturally competitive feel, which makes it a brilliant option for groups looking for more energy and more challenge.

What should I wear under the wetsuit?

Wear comfortable swimwear under your wetsuit. Bring a towel and, if you want, a full change of clothes for afterwards so you can get warm and dry after your session.

What else can we add to make more of the day?

This is where Coachford really stands out. If you want to build a bigger Ballyhass day out, the strongest upgrade is the All Access Pass, which lets you combine Aquapark with more activities across the site rather than treating the visit as a single session.

Is the All Access Pass worth it?

If you are the kind of guest who wants more than just one activity, then yes — the All Access Pass is one of the best Coachford upgrades on site. It is especially strong for families, active groups and anyone who wants to turn the trip into a fuller adventure day rather than just an Aquapark booking.

For detailed operational rules, injury guidance, supervision ratios and safety requirements, see the full Aquapark safety section below.

Coachford Aquapark safety information

Ballyhass Coachford Aquapark is a physical and strenuous outdoor activity. The course is made up of inflatable features anchored on the surface of the water, creating a connected, obstacle-heavy layout that is naturally slippery, unstable and physically demanding. Injuries can and do occur, and all participants should understand the risks before taking part.

Please take note

Do not use the Aquapark if you have relevant injuries or health concerns

Guests with heart or health problems, or with pre-existing injuries — especially to knees, shoulders, ankles, back or neck — are advised not to use the Aquapark.

Core rules on the course

These rules are there to protect you, other guests and the flow of the session. All participants are expected to follow Ballyhass staff instructions at all times.

On-water behaviour
  • Buoyancy aids must be worn at all times and fitted correctly with safety straps tightened.
  • Never swim under the obstacles. Always go over the top of the features.
  • Never dive head first into the water from any obstacle. Always enter the water feet first.
  • Tread carefully and show caution at all times as the park is slippery and unstable.
  • The park is only for use during public opening hours while lifeguards and staff are on duty.
Climbing, jumping & sliding
  • Always look up when climbing and never climb underneath another participant.
  • Make sure the water and landing area are clear before jumping or sliding.
  • The correct sliding position is arms crossed over your chest with feet and legs together.
  • If sliding with a friend, do not hold hands — slide separately.
  • Do not slide down any area that has climbing handles attached.
What is not allowed
  • No pushing or excessive rough play.
  • Younger participants should be given right of way at all times.
  • The park must never be used under the influence of medication, drugs or alcohol.
  • Failure to follow the rules or staff instructions may result in removal from the Aquapark.
Supervision, waivers & responsibility

Ages 6–11 must be accompanied by an adult supervisor who takes full responsibility for them at all times. For groups of under-11s, there must be a maximum ratio of 1 adult to 4 children. All participants must have a waiver signed. An adult can sign for multiple under-18 participants, but every adult must sign their own waiver.

Staff support during the session

Ballyhass staff supervise from the course and from stand up paddle boards throughout the session. They are there to assist you, so raise your hand or call for help if needed. If you have difficulty getting back onto the equipment, follow staff direction and use the easier connecting walkways where instructed.

Waivers are best signed online in advance of arrival. Failure to do so may reduce your time on the session due to queues on site. By taking part, all participants acknowledge the physical nature of the activity and accept that they are using the Aquapark at their own risk.
