Why this feels bigger in 2026

The new Wibit Peakz concept gives Mallow a more elevated, more dynamic and more premium Aquapark feel. Rather than looking like a standard inflatable course, it creates a stronger sense of scale, movement and challenge out on the water — exactly the kind of upgrade a flagship Ballyhass public activity should have.

More Height & Challenge

Peakz introduces a more vertical feel to the course, creating bigger climbing moments, more dramatic wipeouts and a stronger challenge for older kids, teens, adults and competitive groups.

More Replay Value

A fresh layout means even returning Aquapark customers get a new reason to book. It feels new, photographs better and gives the season a proper “have you seen the new one?” story.

Flagship Public Experience

Aquapark is one of the biggest public traffic drivers at Ballyhass. This upgrade helps position it as a headline attraction, not just another activity tile on the site.

Big Thrills, Backed by Safety

Ballyhass Aquaparks are built for excitement, but delivered with structure, trained staff, briefings and constant eyes on the water so guests can fully enjoy the session.

See why Aquapark is one of Ballyhass’s biggest summer hits

What to bring & what to expect

Aquapark is big fun, but it is also a physical outdoor activity. You will be climbing, balancing, slipping, swimming and hauling yourself back onto inflatable features throughout the session, so arriving prepared makes a big difference to how much you enjoy it.

What to bring

Keep it simple and come ready for the water.

  • Swimwear to wear under your wetsuit
  • A towel for after your session
  • A change of clothes if you want to get comfortable afterwards
  • Signed waiver completed in advance where possible

What Ballyhass provides

You do not need to overthink the kit side of things.

  • Wetsuit provided for your session
  • Buoyancy aid provided and must be worn at all times
  • Safety briefing before you go on the water
  • Staff supervising throughout the session

What the session feels like

Expect a proper physical workout as well as a laugh.

  • Slippery and unstable inflatable surfaces
  • Lots of climbing, balancing and falling into the water
  • A wet, high-energy session from the moment you start
  • Tiring in the best possible way

Who should think twice

This activity will not suit everybody, and that is okay.

  • Anyone with current or previous shoulder injuries
  • Guests with knee, ankle, back or neck issues
  • Anyone with heart or health concerns affected by strenuous activity
  • Anyone unsure whether this level of physical activity is right for them

Watch before you arrive

This short video helps set expectations before your session. It is well worth watching in advance, especially if it is your first time visiting the Aquapark.

Watch it before you travel so your group arrives with a clearer sense of what the session involves and how the Aquapark operates on the day.

Arrive ready and enjoy it more

The more prepared you are, the better the session tends to feel. Bring the right basics, allow enough time on arrival, complete your waiver in advance where possible, and treat Aquapark like the energetic physical activity it is rather than a casual float-around attraction.

Aquapark FAQs

A few of the most common questions before booking. If you are planning for kids, groups or first-timers, this should help you get the basics covered before you arrive.

How long is an Aquapark session?

Aquapark sessions are typically 50–55 minutes on the water, plus a safety brief before you begin. You should allow around 2 hours on site overall for parking, check-in, changing and walking to and from the Aquapark area.

What is included in the booking?

Your session includes your time on the Aquapark, a wetsuit, a buoyancy aid and a pre-session safety briefing. Ballyhass staff supervise throughout the session.

Do I need to be able to swim?

You should be comfortable in the water. You will need to swim out to the course to begin, and you should expect to end up in the water throughout the session. Buoyancy aids are mandatory at all times.

Is Aquapark suitable for younger children?

Yes, but supervision rules apply. Ages 6–11 must be accompanied by an adult supervisor who takes responsibility for them during the session. If you are booking for younger kids, family-only sessions may also be worth checking when available.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes. All participants must have a waiver signed. Waivers are best completed online in advance of arrival to avoid delays and reduce the risk of losing time on your session due to queues on site.

What happens if the weather is poor?

Aquapark is an outdoor water activity, so a bit of weather comes with the territory. Sessions generally continue in typical Irish conditions, but Ballyhass will always make the call based on safety and operational requirements if severe weather affects activity.

What is the difference between Mallow and Coachford?

Mallow is home to the new 2026 Wibit Peakz layout and is the place to book if you want the latest version of the Ballyhass Aquapark experience. Coachford has its own separate full Aquapark setup and is a great option if you want to try a different course.

Is Aquapark very physical?

Yes — it is a physical and active outdoor session. You will be climbing, balancing, slipping, swimming and pulling yourself back onto inflatable features. If you have current or previous injuries, especially to shoulders, knees, ankles, back or neck, it may not be the right activity for you.

Can I book as a group?

Yes — Aquapark works really well for groups, parties, team days and bigger outings. If you are organising a larger group, it is worth checking group package options and availability in advance, especially during busy summer dates.

What should I wear under the wetsuit?

Wear comfortable swimwear under your wetsuit. Bring a towel and, if you want, a full change of clothes for afterwards so you can get warm and dry after your session.

What else can we add to make more of the day?

If you want to build a bigger Ballyhass day out, there are a few great options. In Mallow, Aquapark pairs really well with the Zipline where availability allows. In Coachford, the All Access Day Pass is a strong upgrade and includes Aquapark, High Nets, Archery and Paddlesports.

For more detailed operational rules, supervision requirements and safety guidance, check the full Aquapark safety information on this page before you book.

Aquapark safety information

Ballyhass Aquapark is a physical and strenuous outdoor activity. The course is made up of inflatable features anchored on the surface of the water, which means it is naturally slippery, unstable and physically demanding. Injuries can and do happen, and all participants should understand the risks before taking part.

Please take note

Do not use the Aquapark if you have relevant injuries or health concerns

Guests with heart or health concerns, or with pre-existing injuries — especially to knees, shoulders, ankles, back or neck — are advised not to use the Aquapark.

Core rules on the course

These rules are there to protect you, other guests and the flow of the session. All participants are expected to follow Ballyhass staff instructions at all times.

On-water behaviour
  • Buoyancy aids must be worn at all times and fitted correctly with safety straps tightened.
  • Never swim under the obstacles. Always go over the top of the features.
  • Never dive head first into the water from any obstacle. Always enter the water feet first.
  • Tread carefully and show caution at all times as the park is slippery and unstable.
  • The park is only for use during public opening hours while lifeguards and staff are on duty.
Climbing, jumping & sliding
  • Always look up when climbing and never climb underneath another participant.
  • Make sure the water and landing area are clear before jumping or sliding.
  • The correct sliding position is arms crossed over your chest with feet and legs together.
  • If sliding with a friend, do not hold hands — slide separately.
  • Do not slide down any area that has climbing handles attached.
What is not allowed
  • No pushing or excessive rough play.
  • Younger participants should be given right of way at all times.
  • The park must never be used under the influence of medication, drugs or alcohol.
  • Failure to follow the rules or staff instructions may result in removal from the Aquapark.
Supervision, waivers & responsibility

Ages 6–11 must be accompanied by an adult supervisor who takes full responsibility for them at all times. For groups of under-11s, there must be a maximum ratio of 1 adult to 4 children. All participants must have a waiver signed. An adult can sign for multiple under-18 participants, but every adult must sign their own waiver.

Staff support during the session

Ballyhass staff supervise from the course and from stand up paddle boards throughout the session. They are there to assist you, so raise your hand or call for help if needed. If you have difficulty getting back onto the equipment, use the low walkways connecting the bigger features to the Kaos middle section and follow staff direction.

Waivers are best signed online in advance of arrival. Failure to do so may reduce your time on the session due to queues on site. By taking part, all participants acknowledge the physical nature of the activity and accept that they are using the Aquapark at their own risk.
