Adventure for Nature: Announcing Our Partnership with Nature Network Ireland

At Ballyhass, our mission has always been simple: to inspire an outdoor generation. We believe adventure isn’t just about adrenaline or activity - it’s about connection. Connection to ourselves, to each other, and to the natural places that make those experiences possible.

Because if nature isn’t thriving, neither is outdoor adventure.

That belief is what led us to Nature Network Ireland (NNI) - and why we’re proud to officially announce our partnership: the Adventure for Nature Alliance.

Why Nature, Why Now

Outdoor spaces across Ireland are under increasing pressure. Habitats are changing, biodiversity is declining, and many people feel increasingly disconnected from the natural environments around them.

At the same time, there is a growing appetite for meaningful outdoor experiences - experiences that go beyond escape and recreation, and instead foster understanding, care, and responsibility.

We believe this moment matters.

Nature needs more advocates, more hands, and more informed action - and businesses that rely on outdoor spaces have a responsibility to be part of that solution. Adventure has the power to spark curiosity and connection, but real, lasting impact happens when it is paired with education, expertise, and opportunities to take action.

That’s where Nature Network Ireland comes in.

Who Are Nature Network Ireland?

Nature Network Ireland is a volunteer-led environmental charity that has been working for over 10 years to protect, restore, and celebrate Ireland’s natural heritage.

With a strong focus on Cork City, Cork County, and projects across Ireland, NNI delivers impactful conservation work through:

  • Biodiversity surveys and habitat assessments
  • Conservation and restoration projects
  • Education, workshops, and public engagement
  • Monthly volunteer action days in spaces like Beaumont Quarry

As a volunteer-led organisation rooted in Cork and active nationally, NNI brings deep ecological expertise, credibility, and a community-first approach to conservation - making them natural partners for Ballyhass as we look to pair adventure with informed, meaningful action.

How the Adventure for Nature Alliance Began

Our partnership with NNI didn’t begin with an announcement - it began with action.

Over recent months, NNI led a biodiversity workshop at our Coachford site, bringing people together to learn about local ecosystems and conservation in practice. More recently, members of the Ballyhass team volunteered at Beaumont Quarry, supporting one of NNI’s ongoing environmental projects alongside their volunteer group.

These early actions mark the beginning of a longer-term partnership, with more learning opportunities, volunteer days and collaborative programmes planned for 2026 as the alliance grows.

What This Partnership Means

The Adventure for Nature Alliance brings together two complementary strengths.

A core part of this partnership is using Ballyhass’ reach and audience to help Nature Network Ireland grow - increasing awareness of their work, strengthening their volunteer base, and supporting their long-term impact.

  • Use adventure as a gateway to deeper connection, responsibility and care for the natural world

Adventure With Purpose

This partnership is about more than ticking a sustainability box.

It’s about recognising that the outdoor spaces we play, explore, and learn in need care and protection - and that we all have a role to play in that care. Whether it’s through volunteering, learning new skills, or simply seeing familiar places differently, small actions can add up to meaningful change.

Adventure, when done thoughtfully, can inspire stewardship.

Looking Ahead

The Adventure for Nature Alliance is just the beginning.

As we continue to inspire people to get outdoors, we’re committed to doing so responsibly - supporting the ecosystems that make adventure possible and empowering communities to care for them.

Because the future of adventure depends on the future of nature.

This is adventure with purpose - and it’s only the beginning.
