Ballyhass Adventure Group is expanding access to its Residential Summer Camp in 2026 by offering fully supervised transport from Dublin Heuston Station, making it easier for families to join the adventure without the added complexity of organising travel.
In today’s screen-heavy world, many parents are seeking meaningful ways for children to unplug, spend time outdoors, and simply be kids. Ballyhass Adventure Group’s Residential Summer Camps offer a five-day, five-night immersive experience for young people aged 10–17, designed to build confidence, independence, and connection through outdoor adventure — all within a safe, supportive environment.
While residential camps can be an incredible experience for children, travel logistics can sometimes limit families’ options. Following a successful trial in 2025, Ballyhass is continuing its fully supervised transport option from Dublin Heuston Station for summer 2026, helping remove that barrier for more families.
Children travelling from Dublin meet Ballyhass staff at Dublin Heuston Station before travelling by train to Mallow, followed by a supervised bus transfer to the Ballyhass adventure site in North Cork. Dedicated Ballyhass chaperones accompany campers throughout the journey, from Sunday departure to Friday evening return, ensuring care and supervision from start to finish.
The service also supports international families arriving via Dublin, further opening the camp experience to families from across Ireland and beyond.
A Residential Camp Focused on Confidence, Connection & the Outdoors
Ballyhass Residential Summer Camps run over five days and five nights, with campers living onsite and fully immersing themselves in camp life. The experience allows young people to build independence, form meaningful friendships, and develop a genuine connection to the outdoors.
Each day includes a balanced mix of land, water and height-based adventures such as climbing, ziplining, wakeboarding, and aquapark sessions, alongside downtime and evening experiences including campfires, movie nights and night time paddles on the lake. A mindful phone-use approach and experienced camp counsellors help ensure every child feels supported, included and comfortable throughout the week.
Parents can stay connected via a private WhatsApp Parent Community Channel, receiving daily updates, photos, and highlights straight from camp.
