Are you looking for some active activities for the sunny June Bank Holiday? Look no further than Ballyhass Adventure group, we have put together some examples of trips you can take this weekend!

Fancy a swim and sauna in our outdoor swim area this Sunday before checking out Cork Harbour Festival? Or maybe some Axe Throwing on Friday night to get your weekend started, check below for some must-do activities for the weekend!

 

Ballyhass Mallow

Everything Aqua

Are you ready to hit the water this weekend? With temperatures due to hit over 20 degrees it's the perfect weekend to cool off with a dip in Mallow Lake. Why not start your Saturday with an Aquapark trip, only €18pp with Adventure Pass and brand new obstacles for the long weekend get your bounce on now! Take a break with a picnic or grab some pizza and hot chocolate from our cafe. The flowers and fauna have started to fully bloom in Mallow so make sure to take a walk around the site and immerse yourself in nature! After your break why not take to the water again and rent a Kayak to paddle around the lake. Splash, play and explore or just paddle out and relax taking in the sun for only €18pp with Adventure Pass for an hour.

Heights & Archery

Did you know that our High Nets Course is the first of its kind in Ireland? Suspended 10metres high in the air this course is full of different levels, tunnels, slides and hoops for you to climb, roll, bounce and play in. It’s an experience you won't get anywhere else - literally. The High Nets Course is bound to tire you out so chill out with a picnic or pizza and tea & coffee at our sitting area before getting right into some Archery with a trained instructor! Do you think you could be the next Hawkeye? Archery is amazing for balance and ever so calming - and for only €10pp with Adventure Pass it's a great way to end your day!

 

Mallow Saunas 

Have you tried out an outdoor sauna yet? They have been growing in popularity through the last couple of years with open water swimming! Ballyhass Mallow Saunas are brand new to 2022 and a must stop for over 16’s visiting. Warm up after an action packed day of watersports with our fantastic wood burning saunas or just book a session to relax and unwind from your busy week. Sauna Recovery sessions are for anyone who would like to relax or test out some Hot & Cold therapy to help muscle recovery. Open Water Swim & Sauna on Sunday mornings are great for anyone who wants to try out some lake swimming and with a safety inspector watching the water at all times it couldn't be any safer!

 

Kayak and SUP Rentals

Both sites are now offering kayak rentals, paddle around the bay or lake, splash around and have a blast. Bookings are open for weekends in Mallow and Coachford, as well as SUP bookings for Mallow only. Have you tried Stand Up Paddle boarding (SUPing) yet? It's the latest trend hitting Ireland and a great exercise as well as loads of fun. Why not try some SUPing and then relax in the saunas for the evening?

 

There are LOADS of activities to do over June Bank Holiday weekend to keep you and your family active! Make sure to check how long you must wait before a second (or third) activity at Ballyhass - usually you must wait an hour in between activities.
